New study shows scalability of hemp-based thermal insulation in the US
The race to decarbonize buildings is on, and hemp-based insulation is emerging as a promising player. With buildings accounting for roughly 21% of global greenhouse gas emissions, much of that due to energy-intensive materials and heating/cooling demands, the push for sustainable alternatives has never been stronger. Enter hemp insulation—a renewable, low-carbon alternative that not only reduces a building’s carbon footprint but also recycles waste from construction and demolition.
